Judocus Goedhals

Judocus Goethals. Libri de Anima(Louvain, late 17th or Early 18th Century)

Graphite and ink on paper.

This is a unique manuscript composed of notes and drawings done by a student in a foundation course in medicine taught by Professor Judocus Goethals (1662-1742) at the University of Louvain some time around 1700. It contains remarkable anatomical illustrations, some featuring pop-outs that show various layers within the human body.
