Star Chart

Apollo 16 Lunar Module Flown Star Chart over G&N Dictionary Star List. 1972/1866.

These two maps spent three days on the Moon and were used for navigational purposes in the Lunar Module Orion during the flight of Apollo 16 with crew members John Young, Ken Mattingly, and Charlie Duke from April 16-27, 1972.  The star list was used in conjunction with the G&N (Guidance and Navigation) Dictionary star chart to determine the astronauts’ position via star coordinates.
